Under the Sea and Out to Sea

My facination with the sea began when I was a child. Waking up and going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Walking along the beach in the early mornings, picking the best unbroken mini sea snails... it was the best way to start my days. Playing with my siblings, before and after school, in the biggest back yard we ever had.
Swimming in the ocean when it was so clear, I could see life in the bottom.... right before the waves are born. In the quiet movement of the salty water, my young self created many worlds... using the ships that traveled through towards and out of the port, the small boats which approached El Cardon island, and the infinite sea creatures that venture from the bottom of the ocean, through and out of the beach sand.... infinite stories that I never wrote but surely kept my mind busy and engaged.
The sea is a magical place and take note, I do not paint it the way it is/was, realism is not my thing. But I love to represent its colorfulnes and how I remember it made me feel.
